WSO2 Publishes Technical Guide on Using WSO2 API Manager to Address the Entire API Lifecycle

Palo Alto, CA (PRWEB) November 13, 2012

Increasingly, managed APIs are at the forefront of enterprise business strategy as a means of extending information and processes to customers, partners and other groups within the organization. Many traditional service-oriented architecture (SOA) and integration platforms provide some level of API management functionality, but IT organizations still have to add third-party products to implement a complete solution. WSO2 has published a new technical white paper that examines how the WSO2 API Manager addresses enterprises API management demands with a complete offering that includes a portal, gateway, key issuing and validation, analytics, and monitoring.

The new WSO2 white paper, WSO2 and API Management A Technical Evaluation Guide, is designed for developers, architects, and systems administrators, who wish to learn more about APIs that are advertised and available, secure, managed, monitored and monetized. It provides a technical introduction to WSO2 API Manager and additional components of the award-winning WSO2 Carbon middleware platform, examining how key features and core capabilities address the entire API lifecycle. Additionally, the paper highlights how WSO2s API management functionality is based on proven technology that is powering Fortune 500 companies. WSO2 to Present Technical Webinar on How to Pay for PaaS Adoption

Palo Alto, CA (PRWEB) July 31, 2012

When adopting a platform-as-a-service (PaaS), IT professionals need to determine how to pay for the new technology, environments and tooling that will be required to support this implementation. A cloud friendly deployment modelone that is based on shared resource pools instead of traditional middleware platform siloswill reduce the operations expense and minimize the PaaS investment cost. To address these issues, WSO2 will present a free webinar that describes an architecture decision framework, a total cost of ownership (TCO) methodology, and example scenarios highlighting how to pay for PaaS adoption.

The one-hour technical session, Paying for Platform-as-a-Service,” is being held on Tuesday, August 7, from 9:00 a.m. 10:00 a.m. PDT. For more information, visit http://wso2.org/library/webinars/2012/08/paying-for-platform-as-a-service.

The webinar will be presented by Chris Haddad, WSO2 vice president of technology evangelism, who works closely with developers, architects, and C-level executives to increase WSO2 technology adoption, improve the middleware platform, and maximize customer value. He has been advising Fortune 500 companies and charting a vision toward Cloud 2020, both in his current role and as a former research vice president at the Burton Group and Gartner.
