Shaft Medicals La Jolla Hair Restoration Center Now Offers NeoGraft Automated FUE Hair Restoration To Permanently Eliminate Balding in Men and Women

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) June 18, 2012

Shaft Medical San Diego Hair Restoration Center, the West Coasts leading aesthetic medicine practice, providing the full range of advanced cosmetic procedures and located in La Jolla California, now offers NeoGraft Automated FUE Hair Transplantation La Jolla to eliminate baldness in both men and women. The process of hair restoration is now scar free and virtually pain free.

For balding or thinning hair San Diego there is now an effective solution. No painful recovery. No long downtime. NeoGraft Hair Transplantation Center La Jolla offers a revolution in hair restoration.

Now with NeoGraft, bald or thin spots are a thing of the past. Filling in balding areas of the head or patchy areas of the mustache, beard, or eyebrows, is now possible. With the new advanced technology of NeoGraft, bald spots or patchy areas can be permanently concealed by transplanting hair in to the area of concern. No scalpel, no sutures, no additional scars and no “hoping” for results. The hair transplanted to these areas grows forever.

Due to the challenges of the current job market, social relationship competition, and the aging baby boomer population affected by hair loss, hair restoration procedures and treatments are one of the fastest growing segments in the aesthetic industry. In the past, San Diego and La Jolla scar free hair transplantation procedures were time intensive, invasive, and required specialized skills that were developed over time. NeoGraft is a revolutionary, FDA-approved automated hair transplant device. With NeoGraft scar free hair restoration San Diego and La Jolla, hair is harvested one hair at a time from the back of the head without leaving the large linear scars associated with the strip method.

How Does NeoGraft Work?

After planning the appropriate pattern of hair restoration for each patient, a small area of hair in the back of the head is cut short. Then, using the NeoGraft hand piece, about 1 mm in diameter, individual naturally occurring follicular (hair) units, each containing from 1-5 hairs, are extracted from the scalp. By using gentle air pressure to slide out each follicular hair unit, there is no twisting, pulling or cutting, thus avoiding any damage. These hairs are then implanted into the eyebrows, maintaining their viability and increasing the success of the grafting process.

Now, with the NeoGraft method of “follicular unit extraction”, or FUE, hair follicles are gently lifted out of the scalp with a small instrument and light suction, and are then placed into the bald or thinning areas with reverse air pressure. The eyebrow restoration procedure is carefully designed to meet your desired objectives, carefully considering density, hair angle and hair direction.

NeoGraft utilizes a newer transplant system called follicular unit extraction, or FUE, in which hair follicles are removed individually from the back of the head. Under this minimally invasive method there is little danger of scarring, bleeding, or nerve damage.

FUE performed by hand has been too time-consuming and expensive for widespread use. The NeoGraft system offers technological advances that can reduce the time and cost of transplants, making FUE more practical for both men and women of all ages.

MGA Partners Architects Wins AIA Design Excellence Award for Philadelphia Salvation Army Kroc Center

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) June 17, 2012

MGA Partners Architects today announced it received a Design Excellence Award for The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Philadelphia. The award, bestowed by the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), recognizes the project for introducing a new generation of community activity into an urban landscape once blighted by poverty and fractured by the loss of manufacturing.

Were honored to be recognized for this project, not only as an example of excellent design, but also for the buildings contribution to urban revitalization in North Philadelphia, says Daniel Kelley, FAIA, senior partner with MGA Partners and lead designer of the Center.

The 130,000-square-foot community center features sports and recreation facilities including a world-class aquatics center and thoughtfully planned worship, job training, and meeting and event spaces. Outdoor spaces were also critical to the overall design. They include walking trails, playgrounds, athletic fields, and even feature a functional urban farm, all compatible with promoting the Salvation Armys mission promoting well-being of the body, mind, and spirit.

Philadelphia Success Story

The Citation of Merit for design, for a project that bears an exceptional aspect and represents excellence, was singled out by the jury, including chairman David Dixon, FAIA. The building has been covered recently in Planning, Architectural Record and Interior Design magazines.

Since opening in November 2010, The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center has become a national symbol of the important roles played by charitable giving, architecture and urbanism. The Philadelphia project is one of 27 new centers built or under construction around the nation following a private donation of $ 1.5 billion several years ago by the philanthropist Joan Kroc.

Building the Salvation Army Kroc Center in North Philadelphia has provided a model for both future transformations of urban edges and industrial landscapes, as well as for community centers across the county. Reviving the centers abandoned industrial site has helped reunite forgotten neighborhoods by bridging them with other nearby residential areas through the creation of a destination and a new hub of activity.

According to the client, The Salvation Army, the work by MGA Partners has been central to creating a successful, efficient operation with a restorative impact on this neighborhood. It is also seen as a model of how private gifts to charities can have an impact far beyond their main intended beneficiaries. In fact, since the center opened in November 2010, the project has created hundreds of jobs, tens of millions in annual economic impact, and continues to serve an ever-growing membership of more than 9,500. The center directly employs about 450 people.

The award from the AIA was conferred during a ceremony in Harrisburg, PA on June 3, 2012. For more information on the award or on MGA Partners, contact Chris Sullivan at 914-462-2096 or chris(at)sullivanmumford(dot)com.

BOKA Powell-Designed Forest Park Medical Center at Frisco Square Completed

Frisco, Texas (PRWEB) July 25, 2012

BOKA Powell LLC, a Dallas-based architecture and design firm, has completed work on the Forest Park Medical Center at Frisco Square. The four-story, 141,500 sq. ft. full-service surgical hospital features VIP patient suites, an upmarket restaurant offering healthy choice cuisine, and an upscale ambiance, starting with a circular drive that leads to a grand lobby.

The typical Forest Park Medical Center patient has high service expectations, and we wanted our design to respond accordingly. We gathered inspirational ideas by touring four and five-star resorts and spas around the country, said Don Powell, principal of BOKA Powell. We worked to emulate the richness, drama and lighting quality of what we saw, as our goal was to create a first-class environment where patients can heal most comfortably.

The development includes 56,000 square feet of medical office space on two floors, over 34,000 square feet of retail space for restaurants and shops, and a 600-car parking structure. The hospital features 12 operating rooms, 40 patient rooms and 14 VIP patient suites with attached family areas.

Every aspect of the hospital, from the stunning fountain and motor court at the entrance, to the grand lobby to the luxury patient rooms, provides the ambiance of a resort spa, said Sean Kirton, project manager with BOKA Powell.

The team incorporated early 20th century building details with modern finishes to design the exterior, which celebrates the drama of the art deco period with an eclectic, contemporary style that complements Frisco Squares urban character.

This project sets a new standard for healthcare in the U.S., said Nick Summerville, chief operating officer of the Neal Richards Group, developer of the project. Its demonstrative of Forest Park Medical Centers philosophy which delivers world-class healthcare in a hospitality-rich environment.

Withee Malcolm Architects Projects Win Four Gold Nugget Awards of Merit: The Gateway at City Center, City Center Ontario, Central Park Village Brea, Unical Aviation,Inc.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 15, 2012

Withee Malcolm Architects is no stranger to the Gold Nugget Awards having won more than a half dozen in recent years. Nonetheless, this years quartet of winners is especially noteworthy as the awards honor a diverse range of projects that include mixed-use, affordable senior housing, industrial renovation and a site plan for a new community. Established in 1963, the Gold Nugget Awards are one of the leading competitions in the building industry and winners share one common denominator: excellence and innovation in addressing complex design/build issues.

Our work is driven by the desire to provide better solutions to challenges facing our clients and the communities we serve be it a constrained urban site, a new mix of uses, the revitalization of an outdated facility or social and environmental sustainability, said Dan Withee, founding partner of the architecture firm. The Gold Nugget Awards are confirmation that we are focusing our energy and creativity on the right issues.

On June 28, when this years awards are presented during the annual Pacific Coast Builders Conference in San Francisco, Withee Malcolm will be recognized for their work in four separate categories: Rehab Commercial/Industrial, Unical Aviation, Inc., City of Industry; Mixed-use Project, The Gateway at City Center, Carson; Seniors Housing Community Affordable, City Center, Ontario; and On the Boards Site Plan Central Park Village, Brea.

For Unical Aviation, Withee Malcolms radical renovation turned a bare bones warehouse into an inviting, efficient work environment that reflects the spirit of the new tenant, a fast-growing aviation parts supplier. The adapted facility includes new executive office space, warehouse, shop areas, laboratories and testing operations as well as lunch, exercise, and game rooms, and even a quiet space for yoga.

The Gateway at City Center is a mixed-use community that provides senior affordable housing over ground floor retail. The facility, developed by Thomas Safran Associates, is one of the first to be built in the Carsons Downtown Corridor and its design defines the context for a pedestrian-oriented street scene.

City Center, developed by Related Companies of California in close collaboration with the City of Ontario and the Ontario Housing Authority, as part of the city’s central redevelopment plan, brings senior affordable housing to a convenient downtown location. Withee Malcolm worked Gary R. Collins, design architect, to deliver a building that reflects the civic character and quality of the surrounding community.

Central Park Village, the new masterplan for J.H. Real Estate Partners, Inc. for a centrally located site in the City of Brea introduces a mix of uses that will transform a 14-acre vacated hospital site into a vibrant, sustainable, mixed-use village, where, in exchange for increased densities, the city gains a one-acre park.

Successful projects are the result of shared vision and hard work, says founding partner Dale Malcolm. We are fortunate to be a part of teams that are committed to making a positive difference with their developments and we celebrate these awards with them.

Withee Malcolm Architects serves clients in the residential and commercial industrial markets throughout the West from their offices in Torrance, California. For more information on the firm, visit http://www.witheemalcolm.com
