Tivat, Montenegro (PRWEB) July 10, 2012

Lutica Development AD, a joint venture between Swiss-based Orascom Development Holding and the government of Montenegro, announced today that Gary Player, a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame and the most prolific globetrotting golfer in the history of the sport, has been selected to design Lutica Bay Golf Course in Tivat, Montenegro. Minister for Sustainable Development and Tourism Predrag Sekuli, Mayor of Tivat Miodrag Kankara, Managing Director of Lutica Development Samuel Meyer and President of Gary Player Design Scott Ferrell addressed media representatives attending a press conference.

I am delighted to be working in Montenegro and with such an esteemed company as Orascom, said Gary Player. The site there is absolutely stunning, surrounded by water and mountain views. I look forward to establishing a championship layout, with a keen eye toward environmental sensitivity, for all to enjoy.

Over three decades, Gary Player Design has been a global leader in golf course design, marketing and real estate planning services. Through the years, Gary Player and Gary Player Design have executed a portfolio of over 300 projects in 35 countries on five continents. In creating unique and breathtaking golf courses the company and its founder have a full respect for the environment. Gary Player Design takes great care with regard to moving a minimal amount of earth, protecting wildlife and existing ecosystems, remediating and/or adding indigenous plant material and adhering to established local environmental guidelines.

The opening of the practice facility, which features a driving range, putting green and restaurant, is another added value to the development and an opportunity for everyone to experience the lifestyle in this burgeoning resort town. The driving range and restaurant will operate everyday from 09:00 AM to sunset and an experienced golf professional will be available all season for golfers interested in improving their game. Private lessons are 20 for 30 minutes or 30 for 50 minutes.

Since this is the first golf course in Montenegro, it is especially important to expose the sport to the local youth through lessons and friendly competitions, says Managing Director of Lutica Development Samuel Meyer. We would very much like to see the future generations of Montenegrins actively engaged in golf and maybe even get some serious contenders within the international golf community from this region.

Furthermore, the Government of Montenegro, Municipality of Tivat and Lustica Development AD are about to agree on an Effective Date for their Lease and Development Agreement for July 2012, signalling a very significant milestone for the project as the developers are bound to deliver their minimum build and investment obligations within four years.

We are delighted with the preliminary acceptance of our products and have signed reservations and sales contracts, said Meyer. Also, we have built a model apartment and viewing platforms for our customers on the future locations of the marina, main road, and golf hotel. We are in constant communication with our customer base to perfect the product, unit designs and overall architecture.

Lutica Bays master plan is currently being developed into building permits and being implemented by only the most qualified teams. Lustica Development AD is also working on all the marketing material and negotiating with several internationally known hotel operators.

With a top-notch championship golf course, world-class marinas, five-star hotels, gourmet dining, exceptional nightlife and entertainment, Lutica Bay will have everything seasoned travelers have come to expect from Europes finest resort towns.

Bike Mode: Pennsylvania Personal Injury Attorneys Console & Hollawell P.C. Speak Up For Cyclist Rights

Marlton, NJ (PRWEB) August 13, 2012

Adding to the growing voice for increased protections for cyclists, the Pennsylvania cyclist accident attorneys at Console & Hollawell are throwing their support behind multiple nonprofit groups and advocacy organizations, including the New Jersey Bike & Walk Coalition (NJBWC) and the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia. These charitable organizations are working to increase community awareness of cyclist safety as well as educate the public at large about the importance of sharing the road. These initiatives could never be more important than in the Philadelphia metro area, which has the largest population of commuter cyclists in the country. The firms managing partner, Richard P. Console, Jr., an avid cyclist, has firsthand experience of just how treacherous cycling in the area can be.

The streets in downtown Philadelphia can be extremely narrow, says Console. Drivers who arent paying attention can cross right into a riders path and cause pretty serious accidents. All it takes is a single bump to send a cyclist flying off of their bike.

Created in 1972, The Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia serves all counties surrounding the city as well as southern New Jersey. The organization hosts regular community events to raise awareness about cycling safety and continues to be an advocate for cyclist rights. The nonprofit recently lobbied successfully to keep the Ben Franklin Bridge accessible to bicycles, according to the organizations strategic plan. The New Jersey Bike & Walk Coalition, founded in 2009, is also a strong supporter of laws protecting cyclists. Just a year into its creation, the NJBWC hosted the states first bicycle summit to show support for improved regulations requiring drivers to keep safe distances from cyclists sharing the road.

The work these organizations are doing for cyclists is incredible, remarks Console. Cyclists have the same rights to the road as motorists and I think drivers sometimes lose sight of that. Greater protections can also help increase accountability, so when a cyclist is hurt in an accident, we know whos responsible.

Outraged by the growing number of cyclist injuries and deaths at the hands of thoughtless drivers, the lawyers at Console & Hollawell are excited to hold a contest thats giving away one GoPro video camera designed to be mounted on a helmet or headband. The firm strongly believes this increasingly popular technology can play a crucial role in locating motorists who are responsible for injuring cyclists on city streets. These video cameras may also encourage drivers to be more considerate of cyclists rights and operate with greater caution around them. The rider with the story detailing their most outrageous motorist experience wins. The contest is currently running until September 5th. The firm encourages all cyclists whove had ridiculous traffic experiences to share their stories for a chance to win. Riders can submit their stories through the firms Twitter page as well as on Facebook. The firms efforts are just one step in a larger plan to give a louder voice to a cycling community thats only growing larger as more motorists shed their four wheels for two.

Helmet-mounted cameras are proving invaluable for riders in downtown environments with heavy traffic volumes. In one instance, a helmet-mounted camera used by cyclist Evan Wilder recorded the license plate number of a driver who struck him and sped off, according to the New York Times*. Police were able to use the footage to find the driver responsible and charged him with leaving the scene of an accident.

Console & Hollawell P.C. is a personal injury law firm representing victims of cycling accidents in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The firms experienced attorneys have won tens of millions of dollars for 5,000 clients.

HealthCompare Releases Ebooks To Educate American Health Insurance Consumers

Orange, California (PRWEB) July 31, 2012

HealthCompare is nationally recognized for their compassion toward consumers. As a health insurance comparison site, they began this reputation for compassion when they began helping shoppers understand their needs completely before shopping for coverage.

They did this by asking probing questions that, when answered, customers would have a deeper understanding of their needs.

The questions asked of site visitors were:

What are the consumers current health care needs? Do they currently require medication? Does the consumer have a pre-existing condition? Or are they seeking to start a family in the near future?

Does the financial state of the shopper allow for a lower deductible, thusly giving them a higher monthly premium? Or would having a high deductible (and therefore lower monthly premium) be more beneficial?

Is the consumers physician a factor? If they prefer to continue seeing their doctor of choice, HealthCompare helps them decide what policies allow that.

Are there any other health insurance options for the shopper, such as spouse or parent plan?

Once consumers get their quotes, HealthCompare then helps them narrow their decisions by prompting them to ask further questions, like:

How much will the policies being compared cost them from their pocket when considering deductibles, co-insurance, and co-pays?

What will the policies being compared offer in terms of maximum out-of-pocket expense?

Will the consumers office visits be covered?

Do any of the policies up for comparison offer maternity?

Is prescription drug coverage an option?

How much will the consumer pay for emergency services and ambulances?

Will the current primary physician and local hospitals be accepted under any of the policies being considered?

Health insurance costs are much more involved than mere premiums and buyers must carefully consider all out of pocket expenses to understand what their policies will ultimately cost them.

HealthCompare understood this and chose to then release infographics to help illustrate this point.

Infographics are graphic tools used online to help explain difficult topics that are chock full of industry jargon and language. The use of images and colors make them easy to read and easy to understand.

Some of the infographics released are:

Is There Really Affordable Medical Coverage Available – Designed to help consumers find their most affordable options

COBRA Isnt The Only Health Insurance For Unemployed – Designed to educate the unemployed on their health insurance choices

Private Health Insurance Vs. Group Health Insurance – Educates shoppers on the difference between private and group health insurance

Other infographics can be found here.

HealthCompares compassion now evolves into ebooks. Using their new popularity, they will enter into an new avenue of education. More people than ever are reading with the convenience and affordability of ebooks. That translates into HealthCompare being able to reach more customers than ever with their line of books.

These lifestyles reads will address issues that affect consumers in all stages of life from college to self-employment. They will begin their weekly release in August.

About Health Compare: HealthCompare was launched in 2009 to work with brokers and carriers to help individuals and families easily research, compare, buy, and enroll in the right health insurance plan at the right price. Based in Orange, Calif., it delivers accurate, customized, health insurance quotes for the country’s diverse population.

Through a unique partnership with its sister company, CONEXIS, HealthCompare has the ability to quickly reach thousands of COBRA-qualifying consumers and provide them with COBRA alternatives at the moment they become eligible for COBRA benefits. This provides these consumers with an opportunity to enroll in individual or family plans and potentially save hundreds to thousands of dollars on COBRA premiums and, at the same time, rewards referring brokers with referral fee income for the life of each policy.

X3D Expands to Support Medical and Volume Visualization

Mountain View, CA (PRWEB) July 28, 2012

The EXtensible 3D Graphics standard X3D continues to evolve include more capabilities and improve the clarity and consistency of its specifications. The third upgrade to X3D (V3.3) release expands X3D capability to include volume visualization, user-selectable units and internal technical changes, and it is in final draft ballot at ISO with an expected release by summer 2013. The publicly released V3.3 specification documents are available at http://www.web3d.org/realtime-3d/specification/version/V3.3. This work advances X3D as the leading royalty-free open standard and run-time architecture to represent and communicate 3D scenes and objects using XML.

The X3D V3.3 standard includes significant new functionality for cross-platform, reproducible interactive 3D presentations of anatomic volumetric data (e.g. CT, MRI, PET scan, and ultrasound), annotations, CAD models as well as the integration of semantic knowledge-bases (i.e. medical ontologies such as SNOMED CT). As a Web standard, these rendered displays can be distributed and shared through secure services and applied to other domains such as non-invasive sensing and geophysics. The Web3D Consortium Medical Working Group authored the specification and has successfully demonstrated several applications with international collaborators including informed consent, anatomic education, and surgical training.

The new support for expressive volume rendering styles and annotations in X3D V3.3 is a milestone for international interoperability within and across the healthcare enterprise. As a web-aware platform for reproducible medical presentations, such an open-standard is an integral tool in the effort to lower costs and improve quality of care. emphasized Michael Aratow, MD, FACEP and Co-Chair of the Medical Working Group. The functionality for the interchange of volumetric, polygonal and textual visualizations is collected into a X3D node set specified as the Medical Interchange Profile, allowing for software development utilizing only a small, focused subset of the entire X3D specification relevant to clinical care.

Another significant change is the addition of user-definable units through the creation of the new UNIT statement. The user can select the units of choice from Angstroms to light-years, with similar choices for angle, force, and mass. X3D will handle all of the conversions from other units (e.g., speed) and other models dependent on these base units. This powerful new feature allows model builders to construct their model in the unit most appropriate for their work.

In addition, significant work has taken place to improve the overall design consistency of the entire X3D standard. This includes making the Geospatial Component more compatible with the Navigation Component, as well as ensuring that field inheritance is now fully consistent.
