Hunger-Free Minnesota: Good to Grow at The Minnesota State Fair

Hunger-Free Minnesota (http://www.hungerfreemn.org) will be at the Minnesota State Fair promoting Good to Grow, a joint initiative with Minnesota Public Radio. In the midst of 10,000 food choices on a stick this year, Hunger-Free Minnesota will show Fair visitors how simple it is to provide healthy food to those in need. The Good to Grow program aims to increase fresh produce donations by gardeners and farmers market shoppers.

Visitors to the Hunger-Free Minnesota booth in the Progress Center/EcoExperience Building at the intersection of Cosgrove St. and Randall Ave. on August 24 and the MPR tent in Carousel Park on August 31 can do the following:

The Platinum A’ Design Award

The Platinum A’ Design Award is a prestigious award given to top 1% percentile designs that has delivered an exemplary level of excellence in design. The designs are judged by a panel of three different jury which is composed of Academic, Professional and Focus Group Members. The designs are evaluated with score normalization to remove any biases and are voted on aspects such as functionality, ergonomics, engineering, presentation, innovation, usability, fun details, technology, and any other specific points that could be considered, each of these points are further weighted for different jury groups.

The Chicago Athenaeums Museum of Architecture and Design today announced the winners of their 2011-2012 GREEN GOOD Design Award, which recognizes the worlds leading sustainable design in products, technology and research.
