HealthCompare Wants Health Insurance To Be Educated And Releases Infographics To Help

(PRWEB) June 12, 2012

HealthCompare, a nationally recognized health insurance comparison site, is releasing new tools in their attempt to help Americans who are in search of health insurance. HealthCompare, who consistently displays concern for consumers, asks visitors that come to their site to ask themselves a series of questions before attempting to find health insurance coverage. These questions are designed to help shoppers decipher what type of coverage is best for them in terms of cost and type of policy.

The questions that HealthCompare encourages consumers to ask themselves are:

What are the consumers current health care needs? Do they currently require medication? Does the consumer have a pre-existing condition? Or are they seeking to start a family in the near future?

Does the financial state of the shopper allow for a lower deductible, thusly giving them a higher monthly premium? Or would having a high deductible (and therefore lower monthly premium) be more beneficial?

Is the consumers physician a factor? If they prefer to continue seeing their doctor of choice, HealthCompare helps them decide what policies allow that.

Are there any other health insurance options for the shopper, such as spouse or parent plan?

Once consumers get their quotes, HealthCompare then helps them narrow their decisions by prompting them to ask further questions, like:

How much will the policies being compared cost them from their pocket when considering deductibles, co-insurance, and co-pays?

What will the policies being compared offer in terms of maximum out-of-pocket expense?

Will the consumers office visits be covered?

Do any of the policies up for comparison offer maternity?

Is prescription drug coverage an option?

How much will the consumer pay for emergency services and ambulances?

Will the current primary physician and local hospitals be accepted under any of the policies being considered?

HealthCompare knows how difficult health insurance can be and wants to help consumers make their decisions with the release of these infographics.

Infographics are unique graphics that are growing in popularity across the web are known for utilizing images and colors to help make complex data from scientific reports, demographics, and studies to make them more easily understood by the casual reader. Reports such as the ones used in scientific studies often use jargon and unnecessary language that makes deciphering results difficult for those without the background for these terms. Infographics compress and compile numbers and meanings into aesthetically pleasing arrangements that illustrate rather than tell. They can also functionally layout arguments for debates, complex concepts or any other topic that could otherwise be considered difficult to understand.

These new graphics explain hardships that can effect consumers when it comes to medical coverage. HealthCompare is nationally recognized for caring about patient knowledge and choice. They want consumers to understand as much as possible when it comes to making decisions regarding coverage that suits their needs.

The infographics released in this series are:

Instant Health Insurance Quotes Made Simple – Designed to explain how to get quotes the consumers can use

Why Instant Health Insurance Isnt A Good Idea – Designed to educate consumers on the dangers of settling for instant health insurance

Dental Marketing for Dental Insurance Patients? IDA’s New Dental Websites Give Dentists Both Options

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) June 18, 2012

New IDA dental marketing websites put doctors in control of choosing the kinds of patients they want to build their practice. Internet Dental Alliance, Inc. (IDA) knows the challenges that dentists face in their practices on a day to day basis. That’s why IDA provides a multitude of options like an easy way to generate leads for patients with dental insurance, or a way to just as easily attract patients who use other payment methods instead. And by starting the discussion on the dental website, doctors can minimize confusion and misunderstandings at the front desk.

One way to attract patients with dental plans is to choose relevant educational articles to display in the “Patient Information Center” on the Web Portal, or dental website. Select titles like “Types Of Discount Dental Plans – Coverage for Individuals and Families”, “Five Things You Should Know When Choosing A Dental Insurance Plan” or “Managed Dental Plans”.

On the other hand, doctors who don’t take dental insurance cases can display an article like “Dental Fees” on their Web Portals instead. The plain title gives doctors the opportunity to clearly state their payment terms — even stating that dental coverage is excluded as a payment option.

“Whether you practice in a dental market where fee-for-service is profitable or where you need to take insurance to keep chairs filled, IDA’s Portals can be customized to attract the kinds of new patients that will increase your bottom line,” says Jim Du Molin, founder of Internet Dental Alliance, Inc. and dental marketing guru. “By strategically choosing the content on your dental websites you can attract the kinds of high-value patients you want — and have more control over your cash flow.”

The IDA online Control Panel provides hundreds of pre-written articles on specific subjects of interest to prospective patients. Topics are not limited to payment terms. In fact, IDA recommends that doctors choose a primary focus for their Portal — often general dentistry or family dentistry — and up to three secondary treatment areas based on their clinical skills, such as cosmetic dentistry, root canals, wisdom teeth, etc. By optimizing web pages to attract these additional dental markets dentists can increase the number of high-value patients they see each month.

Pawtucket, RI (PRWEB) June 18, 2012

Narragansett Bay Insurance Company (NBIC) announced today that Todd Hart has been named the companys Chief Executive Officer after a national search. Narragansett Bay founder Nick Steffey will continue as Executive Chairman.

As CEO, Mr. Hart will be responsible for executing NBICs multi-year strategic plan as the company continues to grow as the No. 1 choice for responsible homeowners. Mr. Hart will lead the NBIC team in assuring underwriting effectiveness, risk management, production efficiency, quality service, and cost management.

Todd has a rare combination of gifts, which is why I am excited that he will lead our team and bring Narragansett Bay to its next phase of development, said Nick Steffey. He brings an energetic, entrepreneurial mindset and experience base that combines intellectual rigor with analytical skills, operational savvy, and a track record of building high performance teams.

Mr. Hart has over twenty years of experience in a variety of financial services leadership, investment management and analytical posts. Most recently, he served as CEO of the Swiss-based Glacier Group, where he led the companys strategy reorganization and provided operational management in underwriting, claims and risk. Prior to that role, he managed insurance and catastrophic risk investments and trading at the Dallas-based hedge fund, HBK Capital Management (since 2003), and its related entities (since 2000). During that time, he chaired or served on the underwriting, compensation, investment and finance, risk management, accounts and audit committees of the boards of directors of a variety of HBK investments. Previously, he worked for nine years in New York City for JP Morgan & Co., where he identified and executed mergers and financing of Fortune 1000 clients.

He received his MBA from Harvard Business School, and an AB in Economics from the University of North Carolina, where he was a Morehead Scholar. He was also a Henry Luce Foundation Scholar, accepting a grant to study and work in the emerging markets in Asia at the Securities Exchange of Thailand. A resident of Dallas, Texas, Mr. Hart plans to relocate to the Rhode Island area.

It is an honor to be named Narragansett Bays second Chief Executive Officer, especially following in Nicks footsteps. Nick Steffey and his leadership team have been able to transform this company into a leading monoline homeowners carrier in the Northeast, said Mr. Hart. We are fortunate that Nick will continue to help build the Narragansett Bay Insurance brand while we ensure that the company is operationally responsive to the opportunities we see in the market.

In his role as Executive Chairman and Founder, Mr. Steffey will work with agency partners to continue to build Narragansett Bays brand and serve as spokesperson and ambassador, representing the company before industry and government organizations. Under Mr. Steffeys leadership, NBIC, one of the oldest insurers in New England, was rehabilitated, turned into a stock company, and provided with $ 200 million in private equity capital. By focusing on homeowners insurance in a region where many other homeowners writers are retreating, Narragansett Bay Insurance now insures over 110,000 customers in four states.

I am proud to have been part of building Narragansett Bay into a leading specialty insurer in the Northeast, and I look forward to working with Todd Hart and our leadership team to enable the company to achieve its potential, said Mr. Steffey.
