Jenne Rayburn Displays New Work In Boston Craft Galleries For The Holidays And New Year.

Boston, MA (PRWEB) November 28, 2012

Just in time for the holiday shopping season, Boston area craft and jewelry galleries will feature new pendants, earrings and other costume jewelry works, as well as couture handbags, by local designer Jenne Rayburn. Each piece in the Jenne Rayburn collection is designed, crafted and assembled by hand at Rayburns studio in Malden, MA. Designs reflect seasonal fashion inspirations and are crafted to accessorize contemporary and classic wardrobes. As a trained metalsmith and enamellist, Rayburn incorporates ancient jewelry techniques into her work, as well as antique and up cycled components from her extensive travels.

This seasons signature jewelry pieces center around the themes of glamorous holiday parties with glittering vintage crystal, the twinkle of reflected light and the luster and contrast of gold mixed with antique silver, reflecting Rayburns love of mixing contemporary with antique. Ive been working with local antique dealers to curate the vintage Swarovski crystals and cut glass in this collection, says Rayburn. Prior to each season I consider the components and stones available in the markets, and the fashion trends as shown at fashion week around the globe, to create unique and timely capsule collections. I only buy the best stones and utilize the highest quality materials.

Wearing great pieces of designer jewelry makes women look and feel beautiful. You can find Jenne Rayburn jewelry, handbags and scarves at the Limited Edition Gallery, in Newton Highlands, MA; the Hourglass Gift Gallery in Melrose, MA, and the Karenna Maraj Gallery in Belmont, MA.

Karenna Maraj Jewelry Collection was established in 2010 as a gallery & studio space in which to sell original jewelry created by jewelry artists and metalsmiths and also to provide classes and open studio space to the local community. Today Karenna Maraj Jewelry Collection represents 56 local artists. Each of the artists is known for his or her distinct style and use of materials. All work is handmade and is one-of-a-kind or of limited production. Collectors frequent Karenna Maraj in search of new works by their favorite artists.

Hourglass Gallery represents more than 50 fine artists and crafters, many local Massachusetts and the New England area. We don’t take Made in America lightly, less than 5% of our goods are imported, we sell Fairly traded items and some Canadian products, says owner Lorrie DiCesare. “95% of our goods are made in the USA.”

Limited Editions is a gallery and shop located in the village of Newton Highlands, just a few miles west of Boston. Jo-Ann Freedman, owner for over 36 years, continually showcases high quality and distinctive work by American craftspeople. As you walk through the gallery, you will discover and be delighted by a whimsical and eclectic mix of color, texture and design.

Jewelry Designer Jenne Rayburn To Join The Winchester Cultural Council Fine Arts And Crafts Festival

Boston, MA (PRWEB) August 31, 2012

The Fall 2012 Art At The Market event will be held on September 15th, 2012 from 9:30 AM 2:00 PM, at the Winchester Common farmers market, providing attendees the opportunity to purchase exquisite hand-made collections from Jenne Rayburn, a studio craft artist who will offer one-of-a-kind jewelry and accessories. Jenne will be highlighting her Ark Jewelry Collection. Combining traditional metalsmithing techniques like piercing, stamping, and etching, Ark is a collection of iconic-silhouetted images designed as earrings, necklaces and charm bracelets. These timeless shapes are inspired by the animal characters found in cultural mythologies the world over, and tell stories of how hope, strength and virtue tie us to a greater universal purpose. Expressing big ideas, aspirations, and values, through deeply rooted symbolism, Ark combines ornament with storytelling.

Jenne Rayburn is a metalsmith, enamellist, and seasoned designer who creates lovely, original jewelry and textile designs intended to compliment the vision of the woman who wears them. Jennes approach is rooted in the timeless elements and reflections of nature and natural formations, geometries and juxtapositions. She is inspired by the structure and ornamentation in architecture. She gravitates toward layering and contrasting texture and color. Her work embraces simplicity of form and intricacy of pattern. My wearable pieces are a contemporary distillation of ancient handcrafts and jewelry, the ornament of indigenous peoples, and interpretations of nature, said Rayburn. I love to blend art and history with form and function, combining traditional and innovative contemporary techniques to achieve dynamic color, texture and pattern effects. Jenne is fascinated with myths and folk stories that recount heroic adventures and strive to express the mystery and complexity of the human experience. Grounded by study and admiration of formal and classical design and traditional techniques, yet not constrained by them, Jenne is continually experimenting and seeking out innovative materials and methods that enable her to express her ideas.

The annual Art at the Market, presented by the Winchester Cultural Council, is a juried art fair. The jury is comprised of WCC members, practicing artists, art teachers, and committee members who annually judge original artwork of professional quality in any medium for acceptance. The Winchester Cultural Council is a group of volunteers, appointed by the Board of Selectmen, who work to serve the artistic and cultural life of Winchester, MA.

Jewelry and Fashion Designer Jenne Rayburn Selected to Participate in The Vintage Bazaar & Music Festival

Boston, MA (PRWEB) June 17, 2012

Jenne Rayburn Handcrafted Jewelry and Wearable Art, a local Malden, MA, jewelry and fashion accessories designer and start-up, known for innovative designs and her vintage inspired aesthetic, has been selected to participate in The Vintage Bazaar & Music Festival in Salisbury, MA on June 23rd & 24th from 10am-5pm.

Held on the picturesque Pettengill Flower Farm, The Vintage Bazaar is an upscale outdoor market featuring antiques, architectural salvage, vintage jewelry & clothing, original art, artisan crafts and fresh flowers. I am thrilled to be a part of this great vintage show and have the opportunity to share a creatively displayed and thoughtfully curated selection of my handcrafted jewelry, said Jenne Rayburn, founder and designer of Jenne Rayburn Handcrafted Jewelry and Wearable Art. Vendors will design elaborate displays and create magical vignettes in hopes of capturing one of four show awards for best display and signage. More than shopping, this family oriented festival is a community event and a chance to spend time with old and new friends. Notes Jenne, Technically I will be working the show, but I have so much fun at a show like this, you can hardly call it work!

Jenne Rayburn found her vocation as a designer and creator while she was still a child. Crafting for herself wearable art from repurposed vintage costume jewelry and treasures found at the Goodwill using her mothers metalworking tools, she was regularly stopped by inquiring passersby interested in buying the unique pieces. As an interior designer and textile artist, Jenne is fascinated with pattern making and color: the simplicity, beauty and structural elements of natural formations, reflections and juxtapositions. I am especially inspired by the unlimited shapes and textures found in nature, reflects Jenne. By the rough and weathered New England coastal landscape, the abstract tapestry of the Palouse lentil and wheat fields where I grew up, the geometry of buildings and bridges, and the mix of color and texture in indigenous folk art. At the show Jenne Rayburn will be featuring collectible showstoppers made from found and vintage treasures, precious metals, and semi-precious gemstones that mix the charm of vintage with clean, modern lines. Each design brings with it a spectacular story.

The Vintage Bazaar will feature more than 130 selected vendors from across 11 states including Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine, showcasing their finds and unique crafts at outdoor boutiques. The show is focused on bringing to market high quality vintage, antique and salvaged pieces, and repurposed materials and objects. Original artwork from local artists, unique artisan designs and upscale crafts also will be among the featured items. The market will showcase the farm’s display garden, as well as childrens activities and delicious local food.

In addition to treasure hunting, local musicians will perform live, foot tapping, music throughout both days of the festival. Bluegrass, Folk, Roots, with a bit of Country will be enjoyed by all that attend with free admission, making the Vintage Bazaar a fun-filled, and economical, family event.

The Pettengill Farm is at 45 Ferry Road, Salisbury MA. Admission is free with $ 1 onsite parking. ATMs and public restrooms are available. Doors open at 9:00am and the main event runs from 10:00am 5:00pm.
