No Sweat: Leader in High Tech Auto Sealing Now Makes Life More Comfortable in Chicken Coops, Too

Ann Arbor, MI (PRWEB) June 14, 2012

The company that keeps tens of millions of automobile interiors quiet and dry is also making life more comfortable in a much different environment: chicken coops. Jyco Sealing Technologies, a world leader in the sealing systems for car doors, moveable windows and engine compartments, announced today that it is supplying exhaust fan seals for poultry and egg production facilities.

The Jyco seal, which is made from an extruded rubber-plastic compound called TPV, replaces rubber seals that fatigue, discolor and cannot be recycled. According to Jyco, the new seals answer industry demands for reliable performance, increased durability, and improved aesthetics.

Airflow is extremely important to livestock production, says John McGovern, manager of Jycos Industrial Products Division. Comfortable birds eat better and produce more eggs, and the exhaust system is critical to the comfort of that environment. Excessive airflow can increase the mortality rate among young birds. Too little airflow will make it too hot and reduce the birds weight and egg productivity.

The new TPV exhaust fan seals last longer, conserve energy, cost less, and wont discolor. The old seals were rubber, which would fatigue and look nasty. In any application to do with food, you want everything to be as clean, tidy and consistent as possible.

Jyco TPV seals are better for the environment before, during and after their installation. The company processes its TPV without particulate or VOC emissions, and production scrap is directly recyclable. The new fan seals are made in part using http://www.jycosealingtechnologies.com/en/jygreen.php, technology that Jyco pioneered in 2007 to reclaim rubber from used tires and reprocess it into high performance extruded TPV sealing systems. And if the exhaust fan is ever replaced, Jycos seal can be recycled.

Jyco is headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and has manufacturing plants in Canada, Mexico and China. Jyco is the only supplier to have earned a Corporate TS/ISO/16949/9000 certification for Design, Testing, and Manufacturing of TPV seals.

VisiPak Adds High Speed Labeling Capabilities

St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) June 19, 2012

The VisiPak division of Sinclair & Rush expands its package decorating capabilities with a major investment in new high-speed labeling equipment. Designed to apply labels to its line of clear plastic containers and tubes, the new process will allow VisiPak to significantly expand its ability to deliver complete packages to its customer base.

Our line of clear plastic packaging has always enjoyed a nice place in the market with companies looking for clear packages that allow products to show through the packaging on store shelves, said Jeff Barket, Director of Sales & Marketing for VisiPak and the Sinclair & Rush Companies. Of course, packages still need labels for branding elements, descriptive content, UPC codes and other information and we want to be able to offer this to our customers.

The new equipment features patented designs that ensure wrinkle free labeling and throughput rates that can outperform many other printing and decorating options. Plus, the labels offer excellent graphic detail, 360 degree coverage, and can be designed with up to 6 colors. These characteristics make the labels ideal for integrating UPC codes.

Plastic tubes and containers with diameters from 1 to 4 can run on the new equipment and labels as large as 8.5 high x 10 long can be applied.

By expanding our decorating capabilities, we make our customers job easier, reduce costs, and decrease the time it takes to design and manufacture a new package, added Barkett.

VisiPak also offers contract packaging services to those customers that want VisiPak to handle all aspects of the packaging process.

Esteemed Bank Executive Says Interbank Competition is the Cause for High Australian Mortgage Rates and Not the Euro Debt Crisis

Perth, Western Australia (PRWEB) June 13, 2012

The Mortgage Gallery Rockingham, in light of new reports showing that high interest rates are caused by the competition of banks, has announced that it is improving its roster of products and services, including its home loans in Kwinana and Rockingham, as well as its Cockburn home loans.

In a statement released by Cameron Clyne, the chief executive of National Australia Bank (NAB), the debt crisis in Europe is not the one which should be blamed for the upsurge in mortgage rates in Australia. Instead, he said that it is the fierce competition between banks which have raised interest rates accordingly.

“What is happening in Europe is not having an impact on our cost of funding today because we can always sit out of the [wholesale debt] market for a period,” Clyne said.

In its latest move, NAB lowered its deposit rates by 50 basis points which is equivalent to the rate cut imposed by the Reserve Bank of Australia on May. But other banks have maintained their high deposit rates in the hope of capturing a wider share of the savings market.

The NAB chief executive, aside from being known as the designer behind the breakup marketing strategy, is also known for his decision to avoid billions of dollars worth in write-downs when he closed the NAB Capital and instead traded out collateralised debt obligations, as well as refusing to take a write down of the British operations of his bank.

In defending his moves, Clyne said: “The only person that benefits from writing off the UK is me. If you took a $ 3 billion to $ 4 billion loss, that is a real loss of wealth to shareholders and people tend to forget it is a genuine hit.”

But the NAB executive admits that his actions that were meant to balance the interests of investors, the government and customers, may not be entirely accepted by others. In addition, he says that all the debate about imposed interest rates will not help at all.

Clyne said, “I am not defending bank profits. If society thinks our profits should be half [what they are], I don’t have a problem as long as we also debate what the implications would be in terms of ratings and dividends and access to overseas money.”

With its strategies designed to deviate from the norms in the industry, NAB has been getting much attention from the market which is considerably good news for the institution, considering that the banking industry, as a whole, received wide public disapproval.

As of this time, NAB is the first bank to have put down fees, thereby winning over the support of the public. Concurrently, it has also committed itself to providing the lowest mortgage rates, as well as lesser rack-rate discounting.

In accordance with these developments, The Mortgage Gallery Rockingham has declared that it will continue working with leading lending institutions that can provide reasonable and affordable home loans in Cockburn, Rockingham, Kwinana and other similar transactions within the greater Perth area – all for the benefit of its current and prospective clients.

The Mortgage Gallery Rockingham is a mortgage broking firm composed of reputable and efficient mortgage brokers in Rockingham, Kwinana, Cockburn and other Perth areas. 52.3% of Pennsylvanias Largest K-8 Charter School Grads Going On to Private, Charter and Out-Of-District Public High Schools

Chester, PA (PRWEB) June 20, 2012

When the new school year begins in September 2012, 52.3% of this years graduating eighth graders from Chester Community Charter School (CCCS), the largest K-8 charter school in Pennsylvania, will be attending a private or charter high school, or a public high school outside of the Chester Upland School District.

When the school held its graduation ceremony for 176 students, recently, more than 800 parents, guardians and friends of the school were in attendance. This years graduating class was CCCS largest to date, as the school has seen a dramatic increase in enrollment, as compared to its first middle school graduation, in 2006, which included just 48 students.

Continuing the schools tradition of preparing its students for the most academically challenging high school programs in Southeast Pennsylvania and Northern Delaware, more than half of this years graduates will go on to continue their education at 21 private, charter and out-of-district high schools, including, Episcopal Academy, Newtown Square, PA; Neumann Goretti, Philadelphia, PA; Ursuline Academy, Wilmington, DE; St. Josephs Preparatory School, Philadelphia, PA; Cardinal OHara, Springfield, PA; World Communication Charter, Philadelphia, PA; Girls High School of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA; Allied Health High School, Chester, PA; Wilmington Friends, Wilmington, DE; St. Marks High School, Wilmington, DE; Milton Hershey School, Hershey, PA; New Beginnings Academy, Chester, PA; Concord Christian Academy, Wilmington, DE; Hallahan Catholic Girls High School, Philadelphia, PA; Charter High School for Architecture and Design (CHAD), Philadelphia, PA; Delaware Valley High School, Philadelphia, PA; The School of Science and Discovery, Chester, PA; and Salesianum High School, Wilmington, DE.

Emblematic of the academic achievements of this years graduates was class valedictorian Sujeylee Alverez, who was recruited by more than 30 high schools.

In commenting about the students success in being recruited by prestigious high school programs, Dr. David Clark, CEO, Chester Community Charter School, said, I am proud of the academic growth, maturity and educational achievements of every graduating class, but this one in particular, was exceptional. Its been an especially challenging year to be a student in Chester, Pennsylvania, but when questions about our schools operation or about our childrens ability to learn are raised, I point nay-sayers to our results, because they speak for themselves. He continued, Our graduates are overwhelmingly going on to academically competitive secondary and post-secondary institutions and succeeding on their own terms; and for that I couldnt be prouder. A huge congratulations to the graduating class of 2012!

Colortrac, the Leading Innovator in the Field of Wide Format Scanning Technology, Announce the Launch of Their New High Speed SmartLF SC 42 Large Format Production Scanner

(PRWEB) June 17, 2012

The SmartLF SC 42 wide format scanner has been designed with many new and productive innovations to meet the needs of high volume scanning users in AEC, CAD, GIS and Copyshop or Service Bureaus.

Commenting on the new scanning technology, Peter Brown Colortrac Executive Director said The new SingleSensor digital imaging technology for the SmartLF SC 42 wide format scanners is an important new Colortrac invention. The SingleSensor is a single full width 42 inch array of Contact Imaging Sensors (CIS) that are housed in a robust structure and pre-aligned, giving higher optical quality and improved match between sensors. The full width SingleSensor has 50,400 pixels giving it an optical resolution of 1200dpi and a maximum scanning resolution of 9600dpi. It also uses a bi-directional white LED lighting system that optimises the illumination of the scan object whilst giving an Instant-on response. This lowers power consumption as the lights are only on whilst scanning and eliminates the effects of shaded areas caused by creases or folds in the original documents.

The SmartLF SC 42 is capable of scanning monochrome documents at 13 inches/sec and color at 6 inches/sec. To improve the document feeding capabilities at these increased scanning speeds, it incorporates a new single roller document feed mechanism that holds the document firmly up against the SingleSensor lens. This allows it to handle a variety of document types including creased, fragile or even thin media such as newspaper.

The SmartLF SC 42 is also the first large format scanner to utilise the new SuperSpeed USB 3.0 serial PC interface that provides for data transfer at up to 5Gb/sec this is approximately 10 times the data transfer speed of the current USB2 interface. This reduces the time taken to transfer the image data from the scanner to the host PC – this has always been a restriction on productivity. Tests have indicated a realistic throughput of 273 Arch-E (36 x 48) sized color pages per hour at 200dpi resolution or 171 documents at 400dpi. By using the new SmartWorks EZ Touch software provided with the scanner, easy quality adjustment of the scanned image can be made, making the SmartLF SC 42 large format scanner ideal for those large archival jobs.

Summarizing the capabilities of the new wide format scanner, Peter Brown commented The color space of SingleSensor can be set to sRGB or RAW RGB depending on application. The excellent color accuracy of this scanner and the higher scanning and data transfer speeds using the SuperSpeed USB3 interface contribute to making the SmartLF SC 42 the most productive large format scanner available. It also reinforces Colortracs position as the leading innovator in the field of wide format scanning technology.
