Worlds’ Best Designs in 2011-2012 Exhibited at MOOD: Museum of Outstanding Design: Worlds top designs in 2011-2012; the 259 carefully selected and filtered entries within 3653 projects were exhibited at the Museum of Outstanding Designs 2012 location: Broletto di Como, Italy.

Highly curated, and organized according the to the different spheres of design such as fashion, jewelry, automobiles, yachts, interior projects, architectural works, art pieces and other industrial design categories, the exhibition features both poster and hardcopy versions of the works submitted throughout the world for the A Design Award & Competition.

Guests are able to obtain contact details and business cards of winners and further information regarding the works from the support desk, and special QR codes are embedded to each of the large posters to get further interactive information such as websites, videos and interviews regarding the exhibited designs.

The exhibition is organized together with the A Design Award & Competition, which awards best designs in 40 distinct design fields ranging from architecture to arts and design. Unlike other design awards, which require winners to pay for exhibition possibilities, winners of the A Design Award & Competition are exhibited free of charge at the exhibition as a courtesy of their winning entry, and to celebrate their award once more, which adds further prestige to the event.

The exhibition helps to cultivate the design culture further in Como, and is an added color to already flamboyant design life in Italy. Invited guests, business people, press and the tourists enjoyed the exhibition which is accessible easily from at the heart of Como at Broletto di Como.

The Broletto di Como, located near the Duomo of Como, is a mediaeval building erected in 1215 to initially house the Municipality of the city of Como. Built with Romanesque-Gothic and Renaissance elements, and renovated throughout the centuries, Broletto is used for exhibitions of best pieces of art, architecture and design; an equally prestigious location that matches the exhibited works.

Rmg and Mil Speck Announce Engagement to Build Waste Oil Refinery

Renewable Manufacturing Gateway (RMG), a non-profit organization acting as the catalyst for regional job creation and economic development in the clean technology and renewable energy industries, has signed a Letter of Engagement with Mil Speck Re-Refining Oil Company LLC (Mil Speck) to jointly develop a motor oil re-refinery.

Mil Speck will recycle used motor oil in an environmentally friendly manner in a new custom-designed plant that is expected to start operations in the fourth quarter of 2013. Oil gets dirty, but it never wears out, says Mil Specks founder and Chief Executive Officer Carl Greene.

The new re-refinery will have a capacity to process 25 million gallons of used motor oil per year and to produce vacuum gas oil, base neutral and asphalt flux. Mil Speck will utilize a state-of-the-art technology designed by Sequoia Global Inc. The technology has a proven industry record of producing the highest product quality and yielding the greatest economic return for re-refiners of motor oil.

Crooked Brook was contacted by national polo player and tournament organizer chosen by Geneve Kashnig to help design and produce the custom polo jerseys for the Caldera Construction Polo Team.

In the sport of polo, polo shirts are called polo jerseys. Polo shirts are also called “polos” or tennis shirts and they became so popular on golf courses, people started calling them golf shirts. Although the words “polo shirt” and “golf shirt” are used interchangeably, the term “polo shirt” is more popular.

The jerseys are a Hanes, Style 054, 5.5 oz., Men’s 50% cotton/50% polyester Jersey Knit Polo in Cardinal with a welt-knit collar and rib knit cuffs, two-button placket with pearlized buttons and double-needle stitching on bottom hem.

When the new school year begins in September 2012, 52.3% of this years graduating eighth graders from Chester Community Charter School (CCCS), the largest K-8 charter school in Pennsylvania, will be attending a private or charter high school, or a public high school outside of the Chester Upland School District.

When the school held its graduation ceremony for 176 students, recently, more than 800 parents, guardians and friends of the school were in attendance. This years graduating class was CCCS largest to date, as the school has seen a dramatic increase in enrollment, as compared to its first middle school graduation, in 2006, which included just 48 students.
