Basalt, CO (PRWEB) June 20, 2012

Crooked Brook was contacted by national polo player and tournament organizer chosen by Geneve Kashnig to help design and produce the custom polo jerseys for the Caldera Construction Polo Team.

In the sport of polo, polo shirts are called polo jerseys. Polo shirts are also called “polos” or tennis shirts and they became so popular on golf courses, people started calling them golf shirts. Although the words “polo shirt” and “golf shirt” are used interchangeably, the term “polo shirt” is more popular.

The jerseys are a Hanes, Style 054, 5.5 oz., Men’s 50% cotton/50% polyester Jersey Knit Polo in Cardinal with a welt-knit collar and rib knit cuffs, two-button placket with pearlized buttons and double-needle stitching on bottom hem.

52.3% of Pennsylvanias Largest K-8 Charter School Grads Going On to Private, Charter and Out-Of-District Public High Schools

Chester, PA (PRWEB) June 20, 2012

When the new school year begins in September 2012, 52.3% of this years graduating eighth graders from Chester Community Charter School (CCCS), the largest K-8 charter school in Pennsylvania, will be attending a private or charter high school, or a public high school outside of the Chester Upland School District.

When the school held its graduation ceremony for 176 students, recently, more than 800 parents, guardians and friends of the school were in attendance. This years graduating class was CCCS largest to date, as the school has seen a dramatic increase in enrollment, as compared to its first middle school graduation, in 2006, which included just 48 students.

Continuing the schools tradition of preparing its students for the most academically challenging high school programs in Southeast Pennsylvania and Northern Delaware, more than half of this years graduates will go on to continue their education at 21 private, charter and out-of-district high schools, including, Episcopal Academy, Newtown Square, PA; Neumann Goretti, Philadelphia, PA; Ursuline Academy, Wilmington, DE; St. Josephs Preparatory School, Philadelphia, PA; Cardinal OHara, Springfield, PA; World Communication Charter, Philadelphia, PA; Girls High School of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA; Allied Health High School, Chester, PA; Wilmington Friends, Wilmington, DE; St. Marks High School, Wilmington, DE; Milton Hershey School, Hershey, PA; New Beginnings Academy, Chester, PA; Concord Christian Academy, Wilmington, DE; Hallahan Catholic Girls High School, Philadelphia, PA; Charter High School for Architecture and Design (CHAD), Philadelphia, PA; Delaware Valley High School, Philadelphia, PA; The School of Science and Discovery, Chester, PA; and Salesianum High School, Wilmington, DE.

Emblematic of the academic achievements of this years graduates was class valedictorian Sujeylee Alverez, who was recruited by more than 30 high schools.

In commenting about the students success in being recruited by prestigious high school programs, Dr. David Clark, CEO, Chester Community Charter School, said, I am proud of the academic growth, maturity and educational achievements of every graduating class, but this one in particular, was exceptional. Its been an especially challenging year to be a student in Chester, Pennsylvania, but when questions about our schools operation or about our childrens ability to learn are raised, I point nay-sayers to our results, because they speak for themselves. He continued, Our graduates are overwhelmingly going on to academically competitive secondary and post-secondary institutions and succeeding on their own terms; and for that I couldnt be prouder. A huge congratulations to the graduating class of 2012!

Inspirare Fashion Design Competition Winner & Judge Favorites

Burlingame, CA (PRWEB) June 20, 2012

Social networking site, Inspirare.com, launched in June with the goal to help emerging designers get exposure and launch their design careers.

How it works: Fashion designers create an Online Portfolio on INSPIRARE where they upload fashion sketches and images of the finished designs. Inspirare users browse through portfolios and Vote on their favorite designs. The most popular designs that are approved by the Inspirare team will be produced and sold exclusively on Inspirare.com. Inspirare provides 100% funding and share generous royalty with designers.

Fashion designers are encouraged to continuously Submit Designs to Inspirare.com to their portfolios as Inspirare will produce the best items from portfolios regularly and sell them at the Inspirare Shop (scheduled to launch in September).

The site launched with a Fashion Design Competition, which closed in May. There were over 150 submissions from 23 countries for the competition.

After intense deliberation, the Inspirare team and their Inspirare Judge Panel agreed on the winning design. Fashion designer Alejandra de Coss of Puebla, Mexico won the competition for her design, Miss Marble. Inspirare.com will produce the dress and sell it exclusively on their eCommerce store. Designer Alejandra de Coss will receive 20% royalty on the sales.

Inspirares fashion director, Kate Blank, has this to say about the Miss Marble dress, You can see this dress is a nod to several trends such as peplums, cutouts and sheer paneling; but it’s exploring them in a unique way. The dress offers both an interesting print and a two tone colorway allowing us to see it’s versatility and well placed design lines. I also really love the presentation of her fashion illustration. All the images in this design submission are visually interesting and serve a purpose. I think the Miss Marble dress will be a piece that many different women will lust after as it’s a perfect party or event dress.

Inspirare Judge, Lorraine Sanders, of SF Indie Fashion, Digital Style Digest, and San Francisco Chronicle column Style Bytes favored Anca Mirons design RDVB.

Lorraine says, The multi-wear possibilities of this design immediately got my attention. While its an urbane look that would most likely appeal to a customer who already loves to take risks with fashion, theres a great deal of versatility in the cut and shape of the garments. They could fit in as easily on the streets of Stockholm as they could in New York or Tokyo. The creativity in the construction, versatility and global appeal made this look stand out.

RDVB by Anca Miron scored high enough by the judges that it may be considered for production by Inspirare.com.

Style Bust founder and Inspirare Judge, Nikki Lindgren fell in love with Texas based Crowned Birds Pipit Pencil Shirt.

Nikki says, The Pipit Pencil Skirt print is so original, yet so commercial. The cut will be flattering for many body types and the length is just right. I think Crowned Bird did a great job with this skirt. As soon as this skirt is worn on the streets it’s going to be a quick hit!

Pipit Pencil Skirt by Crowned Bird scored high enough by the judges that it may be considered for production by Inspirare.com.

Academy of Art University Style Coordinator and Inspirare Judge, Flore Morton, is a fan of Denis Predescus Pink Architecture dress.

Flore says, The dress is urban but sophisticated. The construction is very architectural, and is perfectly executed. The choice of fabrics and colors is modern, and gives a new spin on color blocking. The garment proposes a true personal vision from the designer. The photo shoot communicates a good taste level and a simplicity that balances well the dressy garment. I regret that the 2D drawing is not as strong as the dress itself.

Pink Architecture by Denis Predescu scored high enough by the judges that it may be considered for production by Inspirare.com.

Finally, Kate Blank, of Inspirare picks her favorite design, A Dream of Black & White, by Kacii.

Kate has this to say about the design, I really love the jacket within this design submission. The designer has used draping and the folds of the fabric in a really beautiful and interesting way. To me it looks like some sort of carefully folded piece of origami. It’s not only innovative and technically beautiful, but really wearable and chic.

All designs submitted to Inspirare.com can be viewed within the Discover section of the site.

Ultra-Clean, Benzene-Free Gasoline May Become More Affordable in North America Soon

La Vista, Nebraska (PRWEB) June 20, 2012

Chase invited BioSyn to participate in a grant program offering which it co-sponsors with LivingSocial called Mission: Small Business. BioSyn responded by applying for one of its projects, which is the production and marketing of ultra-clean, benzene-free universal gasoline.

Unbeknownst to many, conventional gasoline contains, and depends on, benzene, toluene and mixed xylenes to meet octane requirements. However, benzene is a potent carcinogenic chemical, while toluene and mixed xylenes are highly toxic.

When used as fuel for passenger cars running on spark ignition engines, conventional gasoline does not pose immediate health hazard. This is because modern cars are equipped with catalytic converters that convert unburned gasoline exhausts into relatively harmless carbon dioxide and water vapor.

However, it is common practice to use conventional gasoline in yard works equipments like lawn mowers, weed cutters, snow blowers, etc. These equipments are not equipped with catalytic converters. Worse, most yard works equipments are powered by 2-cycle engines that require 2-cycle oil. Two-cycle oils do not burn and are emitted as visible smoke. In addition, 2-cycle oils contain organometallics that contribute to high toxicity of emissions.

It is for the above reasons that BioSyn developed an ultra-clean gasoline devoid of benzene, toluene, mixed xylenes, other aromatics and olefins. This industry-exclusive gasoline can also be used in 2-cycle engines without the application of 2-cycle oil, thus eliminating smoke emissions.

Currently marketed under the trade name DM-X 95G, it will be priced the same as conventional gasoline when BioSyns planned biorefinery is finally up. In meantime, DM-X 95G is marketed to nich

Hoboken, NJ (PRWEB) June 19, 2012

Through a new educational relationship with Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), the national university of Brunei, Stevens is enhancing efforts to diversify the economy of the small, oil-producing Southeast Asian nation.

The government of Brunei is looking to advance new sectors of the economy in order to drive growth. Technological education is instrumental to this effort, said Stevens Provost George Korfiatis.

In the past few months, officials from UBD have turned to Stevens to guide them in the development of the broad-based engineering curriculum for which Stevens is renowned. UBD hopes to introduce a bachelors-level curriculum based on Stevens model in Fall 2013 in a new school called the Faculty of Integrated Technologies.

Stevens engineering education can lead UBD students to expertise and specialization in major technology sectors important to enhancing Bruneis economy over the long-term, such as energy, health, information technologies, and many others, said Korfiatis.

This month, Korfiatis delivered a seminar at UBD that described to officials how to build the foundation for the Faculty of Integrated Technologies, what major issues might be encountered, and other key considerations. The relationship between the two universities will evolve this summer and fall, as Stevens hosts a number of UBD faculty members for workshops that introduce the Stevens Design Spine architecture and aid in the development of engineering course content.

Stevens and UBD are also considering further future partnerships, such as student exchange programs and collaboration on energy research.

For many years, Stevens has been advocating for the importance and uniqueness of a broad-based undergraduate engineering education, said Korfiatis. We are excited to be able to spread our principles globally.
